The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Hello!
Yesterday, as I was meditating on myself I realised that many of my failures, problems and much stress in my life derives from DISORGANISATION! It all begins in the morning when I cannot find my keys and I am late for work, and then it continues. I put a paper on my door, a check-list of all the thngs I should have in my bag before I leave home and all the things I should do ( turn off the heating) etc
I also prepare some TO-DO LISTS. Do you have any other ideas? I invite all co-creators to the discussion, perhaps you could give some examples what worked for you in terms of fighting disorganisation! Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is making my life complicated sometimes;)

I am the LIST QUEEN. Hi there Alek, I agree. As I become more and more organized, all that I want come easily, and in an orderly fashion. I find that if I give my self enough time , all my orgainizing efforts seem to go smoothly. Example, getting up 15 min earlier in the morning helps one to not rush and get more done before starting your day. I thinks its all about giving yourself TIME. Peace JILLY
HI...I used to be like you ...but now i am much more organised. its really a lot better that way. I have a new habit that helped me immensely. I have this stop watch feature on my cell phone and at times what I do is that I set my stop watch and just dedicate 5 min or 15 min to cleaning one specific area of my apartment. I dont have to rush to make it perfect, but i try to better it and do whatever i can with love in those 15 min. once the 15 min are up, i stop. unless i feel like continuing for 2 more min. In this way, sometimes i have my drawers more organised, i can tidy the area around my mirror, tidy my closet slightly, etc. about handbags, i great tip i can give you is to keep mimipouches. i havent implemented this yet, but the idea is that inside your big tote you can have a small pouch that contains your make up, may be one more case for your sunglasses, that way there is nothing loose inside your purse. this is hugely helpful. try it!
Hi Again Alek, This organized thing you mentioned has been on my mind. I feel much better when things are orgainized. Organization causes me to be positive. Causes me to feel good about myself. It also causes my husband to feel good about himself and about me. I think organizaition effects those around you. It also leave a good impression with others. All of this is a positive reflection on oneself. I think anything that is linked to being Positive is a good thing, dont you think. Oh did I mention that when Im orgainized, it caused my husband to also get orgainized. Hugs JILLY
I have the same problem!
Do you know where it comes from?
Of course todo lists help. Creating good habits and avoiding procrastination.
But I think hypnosis can destroy the roots.
Roots are in your psychology.
I know this is bad but my husband always says I would lose my head if it weren't screwed to my head! That's how unorganized I am! I do try to also make to-do lists but then what do you do when you keep losing those too? :( I'm such a disaster area at times...
Hi Aleksandra
Well, my best advise is to check everything you need for the next day the night before. Just before you go to bed. This helps me because I now dont have to lie in bed trying to remember all the things I am meant to do when I wake up, knowing that I wont remember most of it anyways.

Put your keys in your bag with everything else you need to head out the door.

I do the same 15min cleaning routine as Jenna because I hate housework so if I only have to do it in small doses I can power through it and feel good about it at the end of the day.

Beliefs have a lot to do with it too. Im constantly being told by people that I am forgetful and unorganised, I was told that as a child, now it seems to be instilled in me. However, beliefs can be changed, over time, as you find things that work for you, you will become organised.

Experiment with ideas that people give you then keep what works for you. Complications in life are just challenges waiting for an answer. Go find yours :)

Cheers
Hi Please google the name Roy Posner.
Read some of his work, he talks about Organisation, @ length in 1 of his articles.
Its a great site but u can send me a blank email with Roy Posner on the subj. line and il forward it to you. I tried creating my perfect life for years with little success, now in a little under a month im reaching success from all directions by applying his strategies.
The one thing I use and would die without is my brain book. OK, actually I have 3. I have one for household that I keep in the kitchen, one for my homeschool, and one for my business. I just use a binder and I also keep a notebook in each one for notes so I don't have a bunch of loose papers floating around. Anything I need, I just go to the binders. The household one can hold to do lists, shopping, menu's, recipes, etc. If you want more info, let me know. Keys....if you find a solution to that one, let me know!! :-)
from someone who lives in chaos...
I find this helps

* have a dedicated key hook in a visible place.
This is where you hang your keys when you come in. Be strict with yourself.
If you glance at th hook & it's empty -
go find your keys and hang them on th hook!
(Better now, than when you're running late)

* Many other ideas come from th same theme -
a place for everything & and everything in it's place.
(i'm still aspiring to this one, but it's a good soundbite)

Good luck & HYN BTW!
x
I have a key hook. Hubby got it for me for Christmas one year. I keep mine in my car as the car is always parked inside the garage. Hubby uses it more often than I do. I love mine its metal and is in the correct area for feng shui travel. Its shaped like an old fashioned church key as well.
