The 100 Day Reality Challenge

I'm new to this site, but I've been reading LOA books, watching videos, audiobooks, etc for years. I have a technical mind by trade and training and tend to get paralyzed by overthinking and overanalyzing things. So here's my question.....

When practicing the LOA, do you work on attracting step 'A', or step 'Z'. An example for clarity: Several months ago a contract I was working on ended. After 6 months I was eligible to return (to a job I greatly enjoy) however they have a hiring freeze right now. So, I have an ultimate financial goal in mind and a plan that I know works, to get there....ONCE I get back to work. So, is practicing the LOA thinking about my ultimate goal (step 'Z') or manifesting getting back to work (step 'A')?

I think that to put things another way, in relating to goal setting, you might have an ultimate goal of losing X amount of weight, but the smaller steps towards losing that weight might be 5 pounds at a time. So, what's the focus? The 5 pounds at a time, or the ultimate larger goal.

Wow, The Law just brought me back to this discussion and allowed me to change my mind. The last comment said I agreed with you(Nicole). I took the liberty and deleted that comment I left.
I disagree, The law of attraction is very real. To say that you don't or won't manifest into your life when you are not in those high vibrations i.e. enthusiasm, happiness etc is not correct.
When you are not in these formentioned feelings you will still manifest. You will manifest in a lower/slower vibration. This is where the Law allows one to change our minds. It took me a while to realize the process, but I finally got it. I have been doing a lot of reading about this Frequency of ours. Love is the HIGHEST vibration frequency you can be in and when in this frequency your hearts desires travel at lighting speed. The oposite occurs when in the low frequency. This is why we hear from people, that they are thinking of what they want and wonder why it doesnt come to them. It is because they are at a lower/slower frequency vibe at the time of their request.Well its on the way, but at a slower speed.
So that being said, Now I will agree with you (nicole) the objective is to be at a high frequency (Quote:The focus is feeling good, from your comment). But to be clear, I dont agree with your statement (Quote: There is no such thing as practicing the law of attraction). I believe that everyone weather they know it or not ARE in the Practice of the LAW OF ATTRACTION. What they are thinking is what they are getting. Some just dont realize or are unaware of what they are doing. Here on co-creators, I would say the majority of the members are aware and are working on bettering there practice. They are molding and shaping their minds to think in a positive way and curbing any negitive thoughts that come there way. They are coming into an awareness of themselves and letting go of the old beliefs systems that limited there thinking.
I love you Nicole, but I disagree with opening statement to your comment. Note I dont disagree with all that you said, because you had some valid points.

I think your question already presented it's answers.

You focus on Z as you know what you are wanting but you do not worry about the "how" it would come. Your financial freedom can come in all sorts of ways...examples: it would come from a partnership with a business, from the use of your own talent, marrying it, inheriting it or winning it, etc.

You focus on A as you think that Z is overwhelming for you at your present moment. This is what Abraham calls Segment Intending.
Hi Happier, I was draw back to this discussion by the Law to delete my first comment and change it. I responded to jtm's discussion once again and also change my comment to Nicoles reply.
I took a moment to read your reply as well. You are absolutely correct. Focus on the Z is first and foremost.
It is correct to say not to WORRY as this is a low vibration frequency and will throw a curve ball into the manifestation of the Z.

I can stop breathing for longer than I can stop analyzing so I understand where you are coming from. For me, what has worked really well has been meditation and, specifically, repeating mantras to quiet the mind.
OH my gosh, Once again the Law brought me back to this discussion but for an unrelated reason. I was just reading Heathers discussion called VISUALIZATION. I responded to it but forgot to tell her about the Mantras. I will go back and revisit her discussion an tell her. Would you mind go to her discussion also and explaining mantras. I agree with the mantra and meditating...that seems to really help calm all of those un intended thoughts down and gets your mind in the right place. It will speed up the process. I found myself having the same question lately. Do I start small or go right for the end result and let it work itself out? So, I stumbled across this post first thing this morning and I know I was guided here. This was actually one of my goals. To find good advice on where to begin. I posted a blog myself, but no one has replied yet. So, I appreciate you asking this question because it helped a lot of other people out too. As for calming your thoughts...this is my practice....Lay down in a comfortable position. Close your eyes. Breathe in at a normal speed of 1-one thousand-2 one thousand-3 one thousand 4- one thousand. Then hold it for a quick 4 seconds and then breathe out for a normal 6 seconds. Repeate this over and over for a while. Just make sur ethat you try to stay at the same speed the whole time. Probably about 5 to 10 minutes or longer if needed. Eventually you feel your mind calming down and focusing on nothing but the counting. You will know when you have cleared your mind enough...you feel it. Then you still lay there calmly and you can allow yourself to only think those thoughts that you want to have. That is the time to put it all out there in the universe. You will be AMAZED at how things start coming your way. I practice this a lot right after getting out of a shower or right before going to bed. Even random times throught the day. It is very helpful because inorder to focus completely and manifest the things that you are needing and wanting, you need to try and eliminate as much anxiety and negative thoughts as possible. After practicing this for a while...it will just become natural. This can be your own form of meditating and you may come up with positive affirmations to think of during this also. Hi JTM, Hmmm...? I have been thinking about your examples. I would say the law of attraction would be to visualize yourself in that ideal job, taking action to get there would be the stepping stones to getting there by taking the job that does that.
The same would be for the weight loss. You would visualize the new YOU and take the steps to get there by exersice,good eating and losing the 5 pounds at a time if thats what works for you.
The important thing I would take note of is that there are no limitations. In losing weight you might lose more than 5 at a time and in the ideal job, you might get there faster and that stepping stone might be very temporary. The idea is not lose focus on the goal an not to limit yourself as the Universe is abundant and gives abundantly. Remember to be deserving of your goal and dont let any negitive thoughts limit you. I disagree with Nicole. The law of attraction is very real. What ever you think about you bring more of the same to yourself. I do agree that you need to be in a loving graditute frame of mind in your manifesting on a high vibration, however on a low un-graditue vibe you will still manifest but at a much slower rate. Either way you will manifest.
