The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Hey Guys,
Im new to this whole challenge and am finding it very difficult changing the way i automatically think and feel about things that happen in life...especially the part about really FEELING that something is going to happen and believing it. I dont know why but i can tell my mind one thing and it always has to manipulate it, challenge it and most of the time defeat it, rather than just accept what i ask of it.....REALLY frustrating!!!! I always overthink and over-analyse every single aspect of even the tiniest things. So in the end i'm forcing my brain to think one thing, but i wont truly be feeling and believing it :(

I really need help.....How do you help your mind really believe and feel that something is going to happen when it is so thoroughly analyses every single detail?!?!!!? What am i supposed to do when my over-analysing brain is keeping me from believing and therefore manifesting the things i want to achieve? I want to let go of this resistence and be able to accept things more easily because my over-active brain is really letting me down here :/

Love to hear what anybody has to suggest or comment about this situation.. Much Thanks!

hey... I'm no expert myself! But i'll give you my perspective anyway you might get somethin out of it...

theres not much to it, and at the same time theres a whole world of solutions out there!! haha. Start by simply asking questions in your mind to help you get clear.... your higher guide will answer you, you just have to let the answer come through. Once you get one answer it will lead you to more!

So your mind is busy.... its what it does! it thinks! so think good thoughts, about anything. Just feel good about where you are at right now. Take some deep breathes, and just focus on the in and out. Right now is the only moment that really exists, and we are creating them as we go... so just do your best to relax and enjoy....

ask: how am I feeling? and surrender to it. whether is really bad, or really good!

I heard from an online video i watched, but Ian lunghold on the mayan calendar... that as soon as you admit to how your are feeling right now, you can't be in the same state. you are automatically up into the next state...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSBtTaxtnwQ is the video :)
Thanks heaps for your perspective!
i went and checked him out and yeah, he definately makes some pretty good points..
Im really trying to focus as much of my energy on just letting go....as you say surrendering to it.

So thank you again X
hi, i understand exactly what you're saying... my manefesting efforts get fustrated by having way too many thoughts buzzing around in my head. maybe you could find that gives you a feeling of joy, it could be dancing, going for a walk in the mountains, anything that gets you in a happy and relaxed state. maybe i could try this myself..
Yes, your right! Thank you so much for taking the time to even just read my problem and then especially replying..
in what... 2 days since i posted this, i've found that something as simple as a quick jog around the block in the morning really puts me in a great frame of mind for the rest of the day :)

Thanks heaps X
Hi Melissa, one of the things that helped me lose the doubtful thoughts is meditating. That 15 or 20 minutes you take to quiet your mind and cease all thoughts really helps you to let go of the negative chatter.

I read somewhere (probably something Abraham said, if you don't read Esther/Hicks' works then I can explain more on that) that doubt is just a form of fear. So its like you're doubting that you'll receive your manifestation... so you don't get disappointed and hurt if it doesn't come... which leads to it not manifesting... and then you can say "ah ha! I knew it! I said it wouldn't manifest!" So in that way we use doubt as a defense mechanism.

So ask yourself, what will happen if this doesn't manifest? How will my life be different, or will it stay the same? Sometimes by just acknowledging that the world will not end if your desire doesn't manifest really helps you to release resistance, because you don't hold onto the desire so tightly in your mind. I find when it doesn't matter as much if it manifests or not, and I'm not constantly thinking about the desire or questioning if it will come, that I manifest much quicker and easier.

One other thing is to try to pivot your thoughts, in those times when you can't quiet your mind or distract yourself. Like if you're saying "well that's a really big desire and it probably won't come; I don't see how it will come" then you can turn those thoughts to memories of things that manifested already, or visualizations of what it is that you're wanting, or affirmations, or positive self-talk like "i'm not gonna let negative thoughts hold me back" and "my life will change in these ways once my desire comes". This takes practice because doubts and overanalysis are so ingrained in our patterns of thought.

Hope this helps!
Thank you for your response!

What you said about doubt being a defense mechanism makes perfect sense to how i have been feeling.
All of the ideas you suggest are really good and make perfect sense...and as you say about overanalysis being ingrained in our patterns of thought, it is gonna take some practice and getting used to.

Im really determined to sticking to it and i am already starting to see the results of my better life forming before my eyes....this life truly is amazing isn't it :)

What's that thing about Esther/Hicks? I haven't heard anything about that before.

Thanks again X
OMG!!! SOOO sorry to just now respond, I just saw this. There's an Abraham-Hicks group on here where you can get more info. Also, their website is http://www.abraham-hicks.com/lawofattractionsource/index.php

Abraham is a spiritual being that Esther Hicks channels. So basically they (its more than one spirit) explain to us in our physical forms how to focus on our desires from the perspective of non-physical energy. It sounds kinda creepy but its not. They've written numberous books, done cds, workshops, dvds etc on the law of attraction and allowing well-being into one's life. One of their books changed my life and I HIGHLY recommend it - Ask And It Is Given:

thanks for posting this !! I think we all have the same sort of difficulties sometimes... and its nice when everyone can post their perspective and help everyone find resolve....so we can all move up and onward!
Hey Melissa... those over analysing thoughts could actually be blocks to your dream depending on what they are. In a way it is good that you get them when you are thinking of what you what.... because you know exactly what you have to change then. Say... if ur intention was to manifest £50,000 examples of blocks might be things like.. err if I make £50000 im going to have to pay taxes on it and thats just going to be a headache and then all my friends are going to try and rinse me when ever we are out just because I have more money than them. ect. These are the kind of thoughts that show you that you are not in line with your intention. Don't just ignore them though, change them :).

A really excellent tool I would recommend to anyone to remove blocks or 'limiting beliefs' as they are called is EFT. There are tons of free resources on the internet about this. Good luck :)

Also, daily meditation is great for removing negative thoughts from your day... its almost like it filters them for me. It will help you relax and its purpose is to clear you mind. Read/watch/listen to everything you can find by esther/abraham hicks. You will love them xx
Hey Melissa - sounds like you already found your own answers and got some good ones too! I just wanted to add a couple of things:
1. Go gently on yourself! I like to say to myself "I'm getting better at this every day" and "this is getting easier"...even when it doesn't appear to be!
2. The whole universe is backing you up. If you believe this, every time you notice you have doubts, release them to the universe. I sometimes do this with bubbles - blow into the bubbles my doubts and worries, and watch them float away!

Love
