The 100 Day Reality Challenge

So.. we create the bodies we have through how we think about ourself? So for example if someome is carrying extra weight and they think to themselves I am fat and getting fatter, that is what is brought to them or a better way..that is how they manifest a body with excess weight? So if they think the reverse they would create a thin body.
Has it nothing to do with what we eat and how our previous beliefs lead us to think that too much food and not enough excersise is said to cause people to be overweight, but if LOA works as we know it...we could eat fatty foods and junk and still be thin!! ONLY if we believed the food would not make us fat.
Same for smoking etc..if we smoke and believe it does not harm our bodies we should stay healthy?
Or if you look at the teachings of Louise Hay (which is from Abraham)..she said we create our own illness through being unhappy in our selves and our lives.
What I'm trying to get to grips with here is...if we are all just a mass of energy, not actually a solid being as we think we are, that we are formed through thought and we see ourselves only as we think of ourselves=our reality..Why should it matter what we eat or if we excersise? as the food we eat is also a mass of energy, neither good or bad..only as we think it.
I would love to hear what you all think about this.

hi Alison!
thank you for sharing this! i am one of those people who has shaped a body around negative emotions...therefore i am currently not happy with the body i have. but i know that i can change that with my thoughts, with my vibrations, with pure positive energy! and i truly believe from my own experience (through my own healing process around this subject) that it has nothing to do with food or exercise but where our attention lies.
both times i lived in europe, i dropped 40 pounds in 3 months. and it most certainly wasn't based on what i was eating or how much i was exercising. i was a barmaid in england, lived on pub food, drank loads of pints, got little sleep due to long work hours, danced all night at the clubs, etc....and through that process...weight just fell off of me. and when i look back at that part of my life...i see that i was fully engaged and aligned with FEEL GOOD vibrations. everyday was a new experience and i was meeting new and interesting people and i embraced all of the cultural differences. and in that process...i felt better than i had ever felt...more alive...more present because i was forced to be in a new experience daily...which allowed me to let go of conditioned responses and behaviors that kept me trapped in a body i didn't love. and because i wasn't focused on the many ways i would criticize myself...that negative energy was released and that allowed me to let go of that weight without EFFORT!

the same thing happened when i lived in italy. i was living a healthier lifestyle there...but i wasn't counting calories or jogging everyday....i was just experiencing LOVING LIFE because i could view the world from a new perspective...a different culture...a new language and all my conditioned BS was dropped out of my focus...a space was created where there had been a lot of negativity....and so...my weight dropped as a result. it was not my intention or focus to LOSE the weight...my FOCUS was on the ENJOYMENT AND MYSTERY of LIFE! and that's what did it for me.

this affirmation came to me through one of Lilous's youtube videos i think...she may have been referencing an affirmation from the secret....
"I can eat whatever I want and I am always the perfect weight."
if this is my focus, then it must be true! if i place my attention or spotlight upon this statement...it was only grow and expand in it's truth for me!

i'm not sure if i answered your question...but i hope to add to the discussion! this is powerful stuff! :)
many blessings to you! <3
Thanks so much for the input Julie,it's much appreciated. I think that it is really interesting..that you are proof, that its not so much about the food, but how good you feel about yourself and your life,. I'm just trying to figure it all out at the moment, trying to get a handle on the metaphysics side of it. I'm also I'm thinking about the Goverment and all their health scares surrounding food..they say you can't eat this, you shouldn't eat that, I would guess then that it's their focus on the food being bad for you that creates the ill health etc, as Abraham say's "you get what you give attention to".
The funny thing is, I'm a skinny girl, I've always ate what I wanted, anything, good or bad (as considered) people always say I don't know how you stay so slim...I didn't know either, I do now..I always considered myself skinny and lanky, through my teens I was self-concious about being thin, I always wanted a more rounded figure, my family used to say " oh your a thourough breed, just like your father" and I accepted that I was always going to be like that as it was in my genes, lol! I get it now, seems too simple!!! I have always been thin because I believed I couldn't be anything else.
If you or anyone has any other theories on this please post comments.
Thanks again Julie, love and light to you x
This was such a WONDERFUL explanation!!!
Something inside recognized what you were saying as truth from when I was thin before!!! It wasn't about the diet and exercise it was about enjoying the place I was in emotionally.
What a blessing this was, THANK YOU for sharing!!!!
it should only matter if you want it to. those experiences will only add to the expansion of experiences
Thanks for your reply Carla.. I know what you mean, open any news paper or switch on the news channel..its just full of scaremongering, if we lived in that reality we would be too afraid to do anything
You know I guess it might very well be about the emotions attached to us when we're eating a particular food. Alison I can also relate to your story because I had a very similar one. Ok, now I live here in Canada and will exercise like mad and eat low fat to lose weight and I do. However, every time I go to Europe I eat whatever I like, do no exercise and always wind up losing lots of weight. Now this has happened to me every single time, even when I was little and I would go there. I just always thought that it was because of the higher quality of food there, because let's face it, here in North America, unless you buy organic, the meat is all injected with hormones, hence most people are overweight. That is most definitely not the case in most of Europe where the quality of food is better. Other people tell that it's probably a combination of both factors in losing weight over there, the better quality of food, and plus the fact that I'm very happy over there, engaging in all kinds of activities, sight seeing and basically meeting new people.
Thanks for your insight Tat,It's so good to get feedback from you all... it seems to be all about the emotions connected with the food etc..thats the experience of ccor members anyway, when you start to think about metaphysics it makes you analyse everything!. I've decided everything is good for me in moderation..no more analysing lol!
I'm thankful to have noticed this discussion b/c I was hung up on the same questions. I DEFINITELY believed and followed how negative thoughts about my body would create an displeasing body, but I couldn't completely swallow that bad food and no exercise but positive thinking would give me health. Maybe it really is that my beliefs are too concrete to be changed though. I had a similar experience to Julie's a few years ago. I was in a partying stage of life but loving every minute of it. I also tended bar and lived off of greasy food and pints of beer. And I lost 40 lbs. So as far as just weight goes, I do think thought plays a HUGE role.

However - I've been going to the gym every day for the last month and to me, being healthy and feeling fit is more than the number on the scale. I want noticeable muscles in my arms and shoulders and back. I don't believe that I could visualize myself with muscle and have it w/o strength training. And another thing is that I've consistently exercised on the elliptical for about a month and thought I'd try running (I've never been good at running as I tend to run out of air quickly) and now that I'm trying to run, I go further and faster every time and I think that's because my body is working and building endurance and strength. I also think about babies and how some babies are born with low birth weights, chronic bronchitis, etc... and babies are perfect beings that don't yet have any negative self image or thought patterns, right?

I love Abraham's teachings and like I said, I think there's a lot of truth behind this whole, "we are what we think" notion but I would really caution someone against shoving whoppers in their mouth and then thinking "this won't hurt me." i hope i'm not bringing down the vibe here guys. I just want everyone to be well and healthy and maybe adopt a healthier outlook on "Bad" foods when they're eaten but also don't throw what you've come to believe as healthy practices down the toilet either b/c of course, thinking more positively and not going to the gym, sounds like a more appealing option. I've gotten a lot from all the videos and readings I've explored so far but I can't gamble with my body and my life like that.
Thanks for the reply Carla..I need to ask you..what is a pink?
pinky :)
Ha ha! I was scratching my head for a while there, got it now - pinky finger, lol! thanks for reply x
Hi Amy, thanks for your thoughts, I would tend to agree with you and the excersise does make us feel good and more energised..so I'm sticking with it for that reason too
