I noticed that the discussion on the last book (Power of Intention) is gone. What happened to it? I would like to request that discussions not be removed or deleted so that future members of the group can look back at the discussion as well as current member who contributed can reflect back on comments.
Respectfully, J

Welcome Em and Chris to the group. I hope to kick off the discussion on the book today sometime. I was a little ahead in my second pass of the book, but I digress (just call me Sophia from Golden Anyway I started over on page 1 to take notes on points of interest to bring up in the discussion.

I'm in! I always love reading this book but have never finished it! So hopefully this time I'll get all the way through. Even reading 2 pages of this always changes my outlook for a few days at least! So I can't imagine how I'll feel after the whole book is done. :)

Oh Chris, How funny that you should mention that you couldn't get into it.
I have run into this many times with this recommendation. I advise that you try to get past the first two chapters. After you do, it get awesome. I really mean it.
I actually had the same problem and plug full speed ahead and then wondered why so I came back to read it again to find out what the hang up was in the begining of the book. I did get it the second time around.
Congrats on setting a date. Is the place outside?

For some reason I just couldn't get into A New Earth. Probably just wasn't the right time for me.

There's no knot tied yet but we set a date. June 18th 2011. We're so excited and have found a beautiful place.

Hey Chris, Great to see you.
I agree with you about the "Power of Now". If you liked that one, try "A New Earth" by Tolle. Actually I liked "A New Earth" better. Bother were good but I'm telling you "A New Earth" was great. So good to see you here. Give my love to EM for me. Oh, by the way, is the note tied yet? Hugs J

Count me in. What better book to start off with that the power of now? This book was monumental in my development as a deliberate co-creator and I can't wait to see the insights we all learn from it.

I have posted in the Discussion "The Power of Now" GUIDELINES
on how to post comments/replies to facilate the discussion on books in this group.

I love discussion books with others as it brings about insights that I might have missed. I look forward to reading along with my lovely co-creators.

Ari, I think we should limit ourselves to comments about the book in the discussion above referencing the book. This way the comments dont get lost in between general discussion topics.
For example if you write your comment about your eye sight in the discussion above labeled "Lets Discuss Mr. Tolle's "The Power of Now" Start June 19, 2010" others can comment on that and share if they are having a similar experience.

Ari, Might I also suggest that you send out an email to everyone on your friends list from your page inviting them to join your group and at the same time telling them about the book we are starting. I will do the same to my friends list.
Blessings J

Okay i will send out the e-mail. if no one has started the book except for us, then what are we actually going to discuss?

One thing I have noticed since I started reading the book is that I find myself observing my surroundings more intensely. I believe by doing that I am actually improving my eye sight. lol maybe its just my mind conceptualizing, but I swear I can see sharper. Also I find myself watching the "thinker" more often.

Ok maybe we can get a handle on this Book Group here. What do you think. I will wait for Ari's response to my suggestions.
