Live your dream 100 day challenge

What activity did you practised 10,000 hours when you were growing up? They say what you couldn’t get enough of in your childhood, was likely your ideal career. Mine was singing, but I never conquered stage fright and became a healer instead.

Making things! I loved creating things from paper, puppets, painting, coloring, and other activities of imagination.

Hello everybody,

Well when I was a kid I really enjoyed drawing, painting and reading books about different cultures & countries (even when I was 8). I always wanted to explore the world and have been fortunate to travel a lot. I remember also sketching clothes for these make believe people and giving them names.lol My mother also bought me my first vogue magazine around then (8 or 9) and I was addicted to them. Am I living my passion now? No, I work in the field of private investing-pretty boring and dry. One day though I'll find my true calling!! Hopefully sooner than later. :)

Welcome Jakim, I hope you realise your ultimate dreams soon and set the law of attraction wheels in motion. We all have hobbies that we love so much that time slips by unnoticed. Dig deep - remember your childhood days, there is often many clues that we overlook as adult's, that hold the key to our true potential and long-term happiness. All the best! Marie

Trisha, clearly you stayed true to what makes you happy and feel good from those early critical years during self discovery. What an inspiration you are! I am sure your business attracts people like bees to honey. Simply because you love what you do and are doing what you love. I honestly don’t know many 65-year olds that have the stamina to work let alone start a new business. Thank you for posting, you are living proof, if we all stayed true as teenagers to our early talent and early desires instead of picking totally inappropriate careers, we’d all be energised mentally, physically and spiritually beyond belief; excelling so much so, aging could not hold us back. Not to mention, the world would be a totally different place, by far happier and fulfilled. If only schools encouraged children to live their passion. I believe it’s an accurate barometer of what we inspire to be, before logical thinking through education conditioning consumes our free spirits. I hope your powerful message raises vibrations here on the 100 day challenge and hope many return to play and rediscover themselves, blessings to you, your family and continued success. Xxx Marie

I loved physical activity, games and free play. I loved how my body responded to what I wished for it. I loved how I could practice something and soon realize positive results. I just kept getting better at whatever I put my attention too. I loved how my body could take me on the adventures my mind wanted to go on. Eventually, I came to think of my body as my first and most foremost environment. I valued my body for the ways it supported my needs and desires. I have continued this love and now at age 65, I have the energy to start a new business.business based on my childhood love for my physical bliss and my adolescent and early adulthood love of wanting to be of service to others by enhancing others lives, knowing I am blessed infinitely in the process

Hi Mendy

Thank you for messaging, I too used to spend hours drawing and painting, but for me, singing and music always had the edge. When I had to write what this group was about, I had included my love of drawing and painting, but had to delete -too many characters. I have a suggestion for you; you could start drawing again, do a few pictures and perhaps show them off to family and friends over coffee in 100-days and judge your response? I believe we never lose our raw talent that kept us preoccupied when we were children. They may get pushed aside and forgotten over time but they just lie there in wait, hoping we’ll activate them again when we turn within years later having realised that our lives are far from fulfilled and we discover our lost dreams. Xxx Marie
