As of today,  I will leave diet pop out of my diet...water, water, water...well, actually, as of tomorrow...time to go to sleep =). I will post every Sunday night to see my progress. Good luck everyone!

I have been on a diet for a week. I had some junk food today but just keep drinking water. I don't have any interest in drinking soda, tea, or juice.

Wow I have to admit I started this the other year, and I have gone way off track.

Ever since one of my friends had offered me Coke with rum I got hooked...I drank pop on and off a it's relatively cheap for a huge bottle trtino share....$1.99!!


Anyhow I really have to stop this as it's not doing me any good...starting right now!!

On day 2 and going well so far. I just keep reminding myself that I am cutting up to 500 calories out my daily intake per without changing my food intake whatsoever :D

Hello Everybody,

This group seems to have been quiet for awhile. Is there anybody out there still on the pop-free diet and how is it going?

Tomorrow (6.6.2011) will be day 1 for me. I am looking forward to all the health benefits and weightloss that I will achieve after I give up drinking Coke (and other sodas).

I can drink up to a litre of Coke a day and when I think how many empty calories that is, and how many millions of calories that equates to over so many years and how many extra kilograms of body weight that has caused...

But tomorrow is a new day and I am so grateful for finding this group and making this positive step in my life.

Does anyone have any helpful tips on how they successfully changed their drinking habits?

I stopped soda for 5 years but after a trip to Africa I started back up when I was younger I would drink soda 5-6 times a day and when I quit drinking it I lost 35 pounds now I notice I have a cup her or a bottle there yesterday I drank large sprite and it made me bloat
so starting today 27-9-10 I am never going to drink another soda again

I have cut down rather than out at this stage but I'm still proud of myself & I've been drinking healthy smoothies rather than sodas and so called "energy drinks" I've gone down from a shocking up 3 to 5 energy drinks a day to 1-2 energy drinks a day. I'm on holiday which makes it a bit easier but I felt so tired & had a bit of a headache when I was only having one. Still, I'll see if I can go down to none by September. I'll still proud of my progress so far & I even bought a blender for smoothies. And I've been using it!
