Flood-relief efforts around SA

THE damage bill is in the billions. Heavy rain and floods across Queensland has left behind desperation and devastation. Some have lost everything.

A number of local groups in Adelaide and South Australia have stepped up to do their bit for the residents affected by the destruction.

Hi Everyone,

I think this is an awesome idea to promote the good news stories as the media tends to highlight more of the negative things that happens.

I am not sure if people are aware but Queensland has suffered a devastation through the floods in the last couple of weeks. What Australians are very good at doing is stepping up to the plate and supporting communities in need. In my home state of South Australia there are fundraisers happening everyone, BBQs, Concerts, sporting events etc to support the relief effort of Queensland.

Bright Blessings

Silvana

CCOR Angel Provides Christmas Cheer

Kate Sommers has given shelter and warmth (from her heart and within her own home) to a homeless lad and his dog.  The young man was a 'stranger' yet Kate and her husband could not leave this young lad out in the cold and the rain.

Kate recently updated her friends with the latest on this heart-warming story:

Kate:  Update on Brian the homeless guy with the dog...It's been raining non stop and has been really cold for Southern Cali weather. I couldn't stop thinking of the guy Brian and his dog out there in a tent somewhere freezing and wet. SO the universe connected us up and we ran in to him a few blocks from where we live. He didn't seem to be drunk or on drugs and has a sweet disposition and positive attitude, so I asked him if he wanted a place to stay during the rain, we have a room off our garage that we were planning to fix up and rent out. It's been vacant so we brought Brian and his dog home to dry out and relax awhile. Not sure what will happen, I'm hoping we can somehow help him get work and get his life back on track so he can stay there. What I'd love from all of you is some prayers and divine support to make sure this all goes well. The larger part of me is saying this is fine, he's a good guy and you have nothing to worry about, and the mindful practical part is saying...wow...you picked someone off the street and moved them in. So my desire is to have your help in intending for this story to get better and better and have all of us bring out the best in each other, intention set for it to go well, for all of us to feel good and be happy. When two or more are gathered!
