What do you usually eat in a day?

Started by tat. Last reply by Zach Mac Isaac Nov 5, 2012. 20 Replies

I confess that I've become really bored of cooking and find myself constantly making the same dishes over and over again. I'd love some new ideas of what you all tend to eat in a given day? Whether…Continue

I will let everyone know when I'll start the 30 day raw food challenge. I'm not quit ready yet.

Great idea! I ate quite a lot of raw food in the summer and naturally lost weight and felt so much better in myself. However, when the colder weather arrived I went right off my fruit and salads.

I too am not quite ready for the 30 day all raw challenge. But I do feel that raw living foods are the way to go, so I definitely wanted to be part of this group. And I will do the 30 Day Raw Food journey when I am ready - which hopefully won't be too long from now!

I think sharing recipes is a great idea. I got some inspiration from looking at 'Raw Fairies' delivery menus, and raw food restaurant menus online, and also You Tube have quite a lot of good raw food demos (just search under 'raw food').

But I'd love to hear about personal favourites, recipes, tips etc. Raw food gurus etc! It was Leslie Kenton who first inspired me with her book 'Raw Energy'. I also got (surprisingly!) quite a few raw food books from my local library - some better than others :-)

Thanks for setting up this group Kate!

I have never had persimmons. If they are better than candy I must try them!

Yesterday I had apple and banana (with yoghurt though!). Your fruit feast sounds very tasty Kate.

I have ordered some salad stuff with my organic box delivery - arriving today! I'll build some salad and fruit into my meals next week and see how I go :-D

I thought I might post some photos of my fruit or salad meals that I'm particularly "pleased about" if that's okay?!

I'd love to see photos of your meals too! I think it would help inspire me.

Thanks for those tips Kate. I think it may be a little more time before I get to your stage! Out of interest, when did you start on the 'all raw' journey and how easy was it to make the shift?

Fit for Life is in my library! Yes, I love it!

Now then, don''t know what time it is where you are but it is 10.30pm here in London, so am wending my way to my cosy bed I think! Night night :-)

It's really great to hear your story Kate so thanks for that - it is very inspiring and also reassuring!

I think it is more difficult to eat raw when the weather is so cold. I was going to have a salad for lunch but changed my mind and had yoghurt and fruit again.

Is it cold weather where you are? Seems to me there is a big thing for raw food eating in hotter climates - like California. May also be that Californians are more 'leading edge' than most?!!!

Oh Wow! That sounds like a fabulous place to live. Can't believe you are originally from California as well!

Hope we can both get back on the raw soon - maybe we all ought to set a date and start together? :-/

I think I'd like to give it a go after my birthday (which is on 1 Feb) - but not sure I can do it alone!
