No Cow Pies!

3/20/2009

In my last post, I mentioned that I decided to do ONLY what I wanted to do, and that this decision provided me with surprises. In these next few posts, I am going to talk about those surprise blessings.

The 1st thing I noticed about deciding to Only Do What I Wanted was that it felt odd and a wee bit shameful.

OK – a lot shameful

As if I was slacking off! But then: Why do I think that I am not acting in my best interest when I do what I want? After all,… Continue

Inner Desire v. Outer Desire

Posted on March 13, 2009 at 6:56pm 1 Comment

I recently had a wake-up call in the area of my Desires. I thought I was clear about things- but it turns out I was not very committed.

I got an email one day that offered me a piece-work job for a company that I thought would fit right in with my Values.

From the initial phone interview, things went awry. I changed my communication style to match the interviewer's. It worked, and I was glad that I was able to communicate, but something felt wrong. It was a small feeling, but it was… Continue

Oh - I Get it!

Small things are actually big things. Subtlety is a Cosmic Messenger.

I thought I had the 'you get what you focus on' pretty well in hand, but it wasn't until today that I had that "aha" moment. And it was such a small thing, really.

I had gotten a call late last night for a last-minute stand-by for the Lion King load out. I have been calling this organization for a month with my availability, and this was the 1st time they gave me an assignment. So though I had TONS of other things… Continue

Cat Magic

I believe in Cat Magic.

Cat Magic is being a cat when that's what you are, and not trying to be anything else.

For you it might be Dog Magic, or Canary Magic, or even Toast Magic.

Cats seem to do the most amazing things - they achieve Yoga poses most of us can only hope to attain in our dreams, they can leap 4ft+ straight up from a standstill, and they return to kittenhood whenever the mood strikes.

And they're soft and they purr and they don't really care what the Jones's… Continue

Wow, isn't that a huge thing to do?! Following your passion is certainly not for the faint of heart. I committed my life to following my passion two years ago, and I can definitely say that my negatives have CERTAINLY been far fewer than the positives.

You know, is is so strange that we think following our passion is something difficult to do. Isn't it more difficult to do something you don't like doing every single day for hours? I would think the pursuit of my passion is much more motivating and challenging and exciting, right?

Sometimes it is difficult to remember that following your passion isn't something that is difficult - just challenging, because you are breaking that mindset of doing what you have to do and reaching for what you want to do. Your passion is supposed to make you feel good in every aspect of its pursuit because you are passionate about being able to enjoy it! Remember that and change your thoughts when you feel something "negative" is happening. Something isn't really negative when everything that results is positive!

Love,
Tamara

Thank you! Just from your Cow pie post I think lol. That's cool you can make those cloaks, always wanted one, I'm pretty sure I have a buddest monk guide... I'm still working on the money manifestations to be honest but I'll know I'll get there soon!

Hiya, I've always fantasized about having a black or dark brown cloak, similar to the Medieval Monks, or Jedi Knights, is this the kind of thing you can make? Cheers, Dan.
