About Me:
At the moment I live in Singapore with my husband and 5 year old son. We are from Sydney Australia. I am a musician and songwriter, and I have worked a lot with choirs and in community music. For the last 2 years I have not been working as we have been establishing ourselves overseas in relation to my husband's work. I really enjoy living in South East Asia and I have some ideas I would like to pursue this year.

heart, be less afraid, and be more myself.

Day 89 - and on we go!

Posted on April 13, 2009 at 6:46am 0 Comments

So it is day 89, my blogs have been pretty sporadic actually, and I am thinking next time i may try to blog and video more often because it does actually keep me on track with my intentions. What I have learned is that having a dream is one thing, but actually finding the perserverence over a period of time to make it actually happen is another, and that is where the real work is - well, identifying what you really want, and then making it happen.

So my intentions were to

1. get… Continue

Talk about a rocky 100 days. Ever since I started this challenge life has been a....challenge! We have as a family had so many ups and downs and we are under a ridiculous amount of financial stress and pressure, but we have decided to keep on pluggin away, living here in Singapore. Michael has left his job and started his own business and we are on our own, no company to back us up, pay the rent, school fees, health insurance, just little old us in a global 'meltdown' as they call it. I have… Continue

ahhhhh! It is Day 63!

Posted on March 17, 2009 at 10:07pm 2 Comments

I havent written for ages, and in fact I've been avoiding it because i feel bad that things are working out as smoothly as I thought they would. Things all started so well at the beginning, suddenly I had lots of work and was making contacts here there and everywhere here in Singapore. I had the idea of starting a kids choir and in my naivite thought it was such a good idea it would just take care of itself. Well, that was silly, and now I am heading towards an event i set up to talk about the… Continue

Any comments here? I am a bit stuck, a bit bewildered! Day 32, Sunday 15 Feb 2009 Season 1

Posted on February 14, 2009 at 9:06pm 0 Comments

All this seems to be flowing for me very well, and at the same time we are in a terrible situation vis a vis my husbands work and it is quite scary because we could lose everything. As long as I stay focussed on my own work I am OK but I have had a few early morning worry times trying not to descend into panic. Found myself worrying about our mattresses the other night! What to do with them if we have to go back to Sydney???? And it is strange and a bit bewildering that on one hand I want to… Continue

Nurturing the creative inner life DAY 25, Season 1

Posted on February 7, 2009 at 5:30pm 0 Comments

I am having quite a rollercoaster time, especially, when I look at it, since starting this 100 day challenge. I've already mentioned a number of things that have happened, and at the same time as I have found the courage and energy to make things happen, I have other challenges.

First is I got sick - managed 2 days at the gym and then got microplasm, which is a kind of "walking pneumonia" (to be dramatic about it!) So I am on heavy duty antibiotics and I am not supposed exercise for 2… Continue

Hello Janet...I am really looking forward to this experience also! I also loved one of your intentions in particular...."to be more myself"....I think this is something that I strive for daily - I just didn't realize it in this way until I read your intentions/goals....thank you.

You must miss your daughter...mine lives in Massachusetts, she was here for Christmas and we had a great time.

What is Shadow Yoga? Intersted to hear more about that and looking forward to hearing your journey and sharing mine too!

Do you post to YouTube? I am going to buy a camera to start posting/vlogging.
