About Me:
I'm strongly opinionated, and usually very independent. I'm 18 and currently attending the University of Victoria, just finishing my first year. When I'm not in Victoria, I live in Mission B.C, where I was raised. I'm an only child and have a very close relationship with my parents to this day. One of the biggest things in life that has probably held me back is that I have a lot of difficulty asking for help or accepting it. Simply joining this website has been a big step for me already.

Day 7

Posted on March 19, 2008 at 3:48am 2 Comments

Well, for the past couple of days I've been trying to re-evaluate my relationships with the two most involve guys in my life. I have my ex-boyfriend who is still a big part of my life and my current boyfriend. The ex is on the other side of Canada and is still very adamant about remaining important in eachothers lives. I'm at a point where I feel asthough I've reached a certain level of friendship with him that I'm content with. This level however is far from the type of level he wants to be.… Continue

So, I guess this is entry number one. Thank you everyone whos befriended me, I'm looking forward to any support you have to offer. I started this journey as support for my best friend who is going through a hard time but in the process began to see issues of my own. I dont have a specific goal worked out yet, but I do know the general direction I'd like to begin in.

I used to be very committed to church and God, but as my life got busier and busier I began to lose contact with my… Continue

okay so we have to apply this. "Your mental intentions and attitudes draw people and things of like intention and attitude to yourself."
so basically we have to challenge ourselves. We need to think of ways of challenging ourselves in postive ways to enforce the life we wish to lead. So brainstorm like crazy to come up with some creative ideas. I've decided to work on my faith and health (emotionally and physically). I've also decided to stop expecting so much out of my friends. (not you inparticular, since your fab!) but out of people i seldomnly hang out with. I know the feeling of under-appreciation and understand the desire to be accepted. With that, I plan to live an unbiased opinion. I plan to go back to being the "sweet jodie" temporarily to see if it will indeed be beneficial. I've sorely noticed the rapid decline in company and feel quite lonely. Although, the cause is obvious it's still an area i hope to heal in sooner rather than later. But with the help of this site (which i've come to understand is a help line, where you add random people and they encourage you to stay on track with your ambitions.) I think this might be really cool.
