Well, my name is Ryan and I assume I am one of the younger people on here. I would say I am from San Antonio, TX, but I have only lived here for four years.
One thing I would say to describe myself, is that I am very goal-oriented. However, I seem to have trouble finding the motivation needed to get anything done. Not saying I just do wishful thinking and never achieve anything, because I do, but I truly believe I can achieve certain goals. Goals that are defined highly unlikely, or even impossible to achieve.

I look forward to this challenge, it's going to be tough because I never can follow through with anything, especially a long-term challenge like this.

What else...I am a student studying Civil Engineering, and I like to run and am obsessed with politics. If you want to know more, then follow my journey!
Season:
Season 1
Starting Date:
September 28, 2009
Intentions & Goals:
My intentions are so broad, my goals are so vast, that I find it impossible to achieve it all in this lifetime. I guess that is part of the reason why I can never actually achieve anything great, I am too overwhelmed. Good thing in this challenge, time is a limit and a good way to view your progress on this journey.
In this 100 day challenge, I will become a stronger person. I will be someone who is always holding his head up high. That is the ultimate goal, and during this process, I will be achieving all the smaller goals in my life, like getting the grades I desire, be successful at a marathon in February, and meet important people who will help me long-term in my life. These are things that will truly make me HAPPY!

Here is a list containing my goals:

-Get at least a 3.3 GPA this semester.
-Learn how to longboard to the point in which I have no fear cruising any hill.
-Become financially responsible, independent, and be free from most of my debt.
-Train and prepare for Austin's Half Marathon on Valentines Day, 2010.
-Attend my recreational center more often to increase my physical strength.
-Practice meditation every single day.
-Update my online journal as often as possible.
Practices:
Creating intentions

Listen To Steve Jobs (D15)

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”-Steve JobsSee More

Been reading a book called "Get Out Of Your Own Way" by Robert Cooper. Really interesting. You would never know that our own brain actually has it's biochemistry processes that can help or hurt our efforts. This book brings up alot of concepts like accomplishing more while doing less."It's not how hard you try or how long you work, it's how effortlessly you get more of the right things done"You always think if you put in 95853285905 hours toward something you want to accomplish, that you will…See More

Day Ten

Updating this thing as often as possible is harder than I thought. Sometimes I forget I am still embarked on this challenge.Haven't been focusing as much as I should...I've been studying more than usual, but not as much as I intended to. But it's a start.Yesterday, I went to the San Antonio Spurs preseason opener. Disappointed at the lost, but it's only the pre-season, no one takes it seriously..it's pretty much an evaluation on who has the best bench players. It was fun though, nothing better…See More

In such a good mood. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY

Had so much writing to do for my Anthropology class. Dad saw how stressed I was, decided to step in and help me. Tremendous help. I really have no idea how I would have done it without him. I still have so much more homework to do for my other classes, and still have some… Continue

"I want to see at least ten of you get 100's on your next exam"

-Statics professor to my class

Well, that was a clear affirmation that he has faith in our class that it can be done. In two or three weeks, I will be writing on here stating that I was one of those people who got a perfect score on the exam. If I just do my best to pave the path, everything will fall together as planned. I will be successful.

I was introduced to a steel bridge building contest that will… Continue
