eating moderately during the holidays

Posted on November 23, 2013 at 2:01pm 0 Comments

If you tend to over eat during the holidays (is there anyone who doesn't?) try using the affirmation “I eat in moderation because it feels good.”  Repeat it over and over before you’re around holiday food. It may help.

Deepak Chopra gives some pretty "iffy" dieting advice

Posted on November 18, 2013 at 8:01pm 0 Comments

Deepak Chopra has a new diet book out. In an interview with a local paper most of his advice was ok   except for his  recommendation to eat Mexican food. Foods filled with a lot cheese and high calorie starchy carbs, not so great for weight loss.

Walking for Fitness

A lot of people here seem interested in getting more fit, so here's a little info and a link:

Walking for weight loss has a lot of benefits-it’s relaxing as well as being good for the nervous system. But you may need to fine tune your diet or the walking itself to get results.

How can one be grateful for their troubles?

Mine led me to the discovery of success principles, and while my life is far from perfect it has definitely improved…

I didn’t invent these principles. Whatever forces created the universe did…that’s what makes them so powerful.

On the surface, my site is about weight loss, but on another level it’s about why some people succeed while others fail.

I’d like to see more people succeed.…

Hi Tom,

Yeah, pretty cool! I was at El Rey November 2008. I love Cancun, looking forward to going back. Hope you have a great weekend!

Haven't been to other ruins in Mexico yet, looking forward to them though! As far as how I move and travel...hmm, not really sure--the universe just seems to make it happen! Glad you like the "smooch"...it is from my inner child :-)

Hi Tom, no longer in NY, living in Southwest Florida now. Yes, the ruins are in Mexico--the small ones are El Rey in Cancun, and the larger ones are at Chichen Itza at the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The other exotics are actually in Australia...but yes, looks sooo much like Hawaii (at least from what I have seen in pics, haven't been to Hawaii YET), I LOVE Australia! Can't wait to go back!

Hi Tom, thanks for the add! Yes, to both---I move around quite a bit, and I travel whenever the opportunity presents itself-glad you like the pics. I did live in upstate NY most--for the past 18 years, but have moved a lot. Looking to travel much more. So much of this phenomenal world that I have yet to see! Keep in touch :-)
