Spongecake attraction!

Posted on January 11, 2010 at 5:24pm 0 Comments

I haven't been coming to CCOR but something happen to me yesterday which I want to share.

My 8yr had a play date with a classmate, yesterday afternoon. I planned to bake a sponge cake and had checked the kitchen for all the ingredients. When the time came to make the cake, I was stuck with my 3yr and wasn't able to make the cake.

When 8yr DS's friend was over at our house, DH's coworker's drove by with a sponge cake!!! He said that his wife made 2 and wanted to share one… Continue

Session 1 completed - Reflection & updates on my goals

Posted on October 6, 2009 at 3:09pm 0 Comments

Day 100 ended last month but I didn't have time to log into CCOR.

1. I weigh 150 # and wear any style of clothes and look great!

This is a work in process goal. I realized that I am self-sabotaging myself when I reach 185#. I'm working out exercise DVDs and continue to be aware of my eating habits. I did lose 9 lbs since the 100 days.

2. Live in an organized, clean, clutter free, stylish home.

This is a work in process goal. I’ve read 'Messies Manual' by Sandra… Continue

Life after death

This past week has been really bumpy. My uncle-in-law was diagnosed with cancer years ago, and he finally told the family about 5 months ago when his doctors told him he had 6 more months.

He is now in the hospital and his doctors gave him 48 hrs. He is hook-up to many machines and is conscience of his visitors. His doctors want to move him out of the hospital as they can not do anything for him, but we know that he will die without the machines. The doctors try to convince Uncle's… Continue

Mediation on 'Ahhh' vs 'Ommm'

I love the digital library because it is so easy to borrow books-on-tape and there is no late-fees because the site takes back the borrowed item on the due date (to the hour on when it was checked out!). The only thing I don't like is that I can't return items earlier than the 2-week loan period, so if I reached my borrow limit (8 books), I have to wait until the books are auto-returned to borrow more books. DS has a library card, so I'm considering using his so that I can borrow an additional… Continue

More on The power of now

Posted on August 7, 2009 at 2:02pm 0 Comments

Last night, I had a choice between writing activities with Day 5 of 'Change your life in 7 days' or continue listening ot 'The power of now' (mindlessly). Hmmm. . . I'm lazy, so I choose mindless listening as I hate writing goals.

As mentioned in an earlier entry, I had a difficult time concentration, so I changed my listening strategy and decide to listen mindlessly, without thinking. I let Mr. Tolles' words wash over me as I concentrate on breathing and didn't analyze (too much) on… Continue

You plan sounds great! You sound like you have it all figured out already. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do yet, but for you, all you need to do is get the patterns made, create a website and market yourself. And I'm sure you can learn machine knitting somewhere. Ask you seek each step, the opportunities will come your way. I'd encourage you to keep on going! If you could become the next Debbie Bliss, how amazing! Please keep me updated with your progress! I'm sure you can do it!

What kind of design are you interested in? You can always start small and just start experimenting if you don't want to commit to it 100% from the beginning. It all starts with taking that first step in that direction and then you'll know if you like it enough to continue or not. I met a jewelry designer that just started experimenting and making pieces at home and now she runs her own jewelry company. I encourage you to just start doing what you enjoy as a hobby (no pressure at all) and the process will unfold naturally. Sending you much love!!
