Lets see I'm on my second cup of Joe and wanted to share my yesterday with you.
I spent most of the time in the garden. The day before I had trimmed up some bushes and left a pile of debris in my wake. My intention for yesterdays garden experience was to clean up the debris. As I was raking I was close to a post that secures the wire fencing. Heidi was with me. Heres Heidi.
She is goofy looking but my delicate flower none the less.
Anyway, in a split second...on the post that was less than a foot away from me a woodpecker landed on the post. I didn't have my camera phone on me but here is a picture that I found on the net that looks identical to the woodpecker that we saw.
Heidi and I both froze. Standing very still we both just stared at the bird, looking it over as it turned its head to look back. It stayed for a moment or two as we stood in awe of its presents. It then flew off and I caught myself turning my head toward Heidi and asked..."Hide, did you see that!" Heidi's eyes told me she had indeed seen it as well. We both agreed it was amazing.
I just read the following about the Woodpecker totem.
Power of Rhythm
The drumming song of the Woodpecker
is the heartbeat of the Earth.
When a Woodpecker totem enters your life,
it indicates that the foundation is there and it is safe to follow through.
It will stimulate new rhythms.
It reflects a wakening of new mental faculties.
You may be so wrapped up in mental and spiritual activities
that you've neglected the physical.
Listen to your body's rhythms and sounds and heed what it is telling you.
Shamans can ride the drumbeats of the Woodpecker's rhythm
into another dimension, space and time.
I find this message interesting since I have just recently make a new vision board focusing on my physical body. And have open the possibilities on my group for others to focus on a Healthy You for the Month of May.
Blessings to all my wonderful co-creator friends, Jilly
