The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Good Afternoon all my sweet Co-Creators,

I am honored to be a part of this awesome site and group of individuals.

The encouragement and uplifting words from everyone has been a heartfelt experience beyond measure.

Its been 5 plus seasons for me, not to mention idol time in between when I just hung out here for continued inspiration.

I am in my 6th season and it marks a milestone for me as my goal has been to launch a new business venture.

Day 30 of this season 6 is monumental in that my dream has been manifested.

You can visit the new site at New Social Club. Com

It is still in its infancy...and some kinks are being worked out. I've come a long way baby.

I am sending you all much love and joy. May all your dreams come true. Jilly

Thanks IC and Stef,

I would like to point out to all that come and read this. It is so important to do what you love/enjoy. You must beyond what makes you happy.

Yes IC...a designer of sorts. I don't like to do the traditional designer stuff....from scratch on paper etc. Let me take a moment to explain where this concept came from.

When I was a little girl (between the age of 6 and pre-teen)...I loved (absolutely loved) to play with my box of barbies. My mother gave me an old sewing machine case to store them in with one of those latch locks that has a spring. I can still see it. Anyway, my parents could not afford the luxury of buying barbie clothes for my past time, so whenever we had a hand-me-down that was going to be discarded, my mom would give it to me to cut up and sew to make outfits for my barbies. I would take the sleeve of a sweater to make a pencil skirt or dress. I would sew it all by hand. We lived close to a cemetery. The caretaker would clear all the withered flowers from the graves and dump them. He saved the ribbons for me from the bouquets. I would use them for trim on my barbie dresses etc. My cousin Deb who spent a lot of time with me as a child still says, "give Jilly a shower curtain and she can turn it into an evening gown". I guess I was a new age "Maria" who was portrayed in the Sound of Music...pulling down drapes off the windows to make play clothes for the children.

Hence an adult barbie clothes designer was born in the "NEW SOCIAL CLUB".

The idea has been with me for a long long time and resurfaced when our family came together to GO GREEN, recycling everything we can get our hands on rather than contribute to the landfill. I just knew this was something I wanted to do.

My only regret with this project so far is that we forgot to take before pictures of the pieces before the up-cycle took place. Something that we are giving our attention to for future projects.

Thank you all for your means so much to me.

Hugs, XOXOXO...Jilly
