The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Life can be funny sometimes. I work as an IT consultant, part of the time at least, and can be over-dependent on my laptop. Well as the lease on my current machine was running out this week I was wondering whether I should upgrade or pocket the cash and keep this another year. So I started looking around at the latest gadgets thinking how nice it would be to have, though I'm far from materialistic normally, and just before I post off the last payment my laptop today (of all days!!) decided to go faulty on me. I was mid-project on a website for a client so after the initial panic that my data was safe have been forced to order a speedy replacement, - fingers crossed before this weekend. So I'm typing this through a weird checkerboard screen effect at the moment as the graphics no longer work. Apologies for any typos but I can barely see what I'm typing! Anyways, trying to be philosophical about it - maybe the universe wants me to get outdoors and walk the dog some more - I'm sure its good for me but I can feel the withdrawal syptoms of my IT addiction already ;) It does remind me though - be careful what you wish for, co-creators, as you may get it in unexpected ways!!

About twice that age in fact, but I'll take it as a compliment and not imagine how you think that makes me look now :/ ha, merci, mademoiselle Taragh.

The universe may or may not be delivering, Taragh, but the parcel courier is most definitely not. After much chasing I've been told the company given my new computer went into administration last friday, the day after my order went out. Its now anybody's guess if I'll see it delivered anytime soon. I could have paid for it with the work I've lost this week and all I get from the company is a weak apology for 'any inconvenience caused'. I'm trying hard not to imagine an 'inconvenient' plague of locusts striking their offices as we speak. Borrowing time on someone elses pc is getting increasingly difficult too - I'd like to have time to answer emails, chat to folks and the like but need my own machine - so farewell all, I'm just going outside, I may be some time ... ;)

Good you didn't lose anything in the process of the universe delivering. Best wishes. T
