My 18 year old son had earned enough money - from working at the local grocery-store during the summer holiday - to buy a new computer.
So he went to the store last Saturday.
After making his choice he decided not to buy on impulse but consult a friend who knows about computers and stuff.
This friend advised against this computer so they left the store without buying the computer.
I had expected my son to be very disappointed about that, but he wasn’t.
Instead he was very happy to have received good advice.
Yesterday the two boys teamed up after school and took the train to Barendrecht to visit a special computer -supply store there.
They came back with all the parts needed to build a computer and they spend the rest of the day building the computer and installing software.
They had fun working together on this project and my son took very good care of his friend by offering him food and drinks from time to time.
I witnessed al this from a distance and felt happy for my son’s happiness about his new computer.
But this morning I woke up realizing that I had been witnessing a small miracle there.
I got up half an hour early to write this blog and tell you about it.
Everything that I typed bold was supposed to be impossible since my son was diagnosed with Autism at age 5.
