The 100 Day Reality Challenge

I was sitting here thinking this morning about manifesting the money for this workshop and trip to Taos at the end of July. My initial thoughts were oh I could dye some fibers and sell them and I could finish some weaving projects and sell them too. Now those are both good ideas but that is me trying to figure out how to pay for it. Its not really manifesting and I am wondering where is that fine line. I know I need to put the intention out there and visualize it happening but beyond that I really don't know how much action I need to do. How do I know that it is not me trying to take control instead of the universe giving me the ideas of things I need to do. Everything that I have read tells me to stay focused, visualize, affirm my desires, keep going downstream and the Universe has to deliver. I have been able to manifest things easily but not money in any amount. I had done a money affirmation to receive and extra 1000.00 a month for the next 3 months. Well I got it this month, that was my tax return. My ego tells me that doesn't count even though it is extra money I was expecting it. I really want to get this manifesting thing down. Sometimes it works for me and other times it does not. I know that thoughts create things so I am keeping my thoughts focused on what I want and not what I don't.

How do the rest of you manage to manifest money, I would appreciate any thoughts on this subject. Thanks.

Hi there, I had my house up for sale, and in this market we were not getting anywhere. The two of us put our minds on this house is sold and that night when someone came to view it, we parked down the street with dogs and watched the house, fun! Low and behold, with the 2 minds put together, we heard we had an offer!! So now, the house is sold.

Everything we do once we make the decision to manifest is an act of manifesting. If you first thoughts were to sell some items, that's a form of manifestation. I recently set the intention to find an extra $8,000 to pay off the IRS by May 23rd. My first thoughts were to cut back on spending, not pay some other bills, etc. Then I realized I was not allowing the universe to assist me. A couple of hours later I came up with a marketing idea for my business that I am positive will produce the $8,000 without me having to cut back on my current lifestyle. Sit and listen, the ideas will come, then make sure you act on them.

If you don't get your immediate BIG THIS IS DEFINATELY MY ANSWER idea, my suggestion is to just pick your best idea and take a tiny step towards it. Usually if you just start moving towards it, opportunities and ideas just start flowing in. You may ditch your first, second, and even third idea because the miracle happens somewhere in the middle. Just do your best with the idea that you have and the universe will pick up the slack. I guess that's what I'm trying to say. Also, Nicole's idea about brainstorming for a short period of time is excellent. That's what I do. And never beat yourself up for not doing it"right". Make your own path:)

Michael Neill has a fabulous exercise called The Money Game. You pick an amount of extra money you want over the next X amount of time. You have that down pat already. So the next step is to sit down for 15 or 20 minutes and just brainstorm on how you can bring that money into your life. Write down EVERYTHING, no matter how silly it seems.

I've done this several times and when I look at what I've written, I'm amazed at how many good ideas are in there that I had otherwise never have thought of.

Beyond that, I do recommend doing money affirmations. Glynis McCants, the numerologist, has great money affirmations. I think the affirmation gets you in the mindset of believing that this money is already yours. That's the key. You can't phrase it like, "I want to manifest X amount of money." You have to say something like, "I have $3000 for my trip."

Then pay attention.

Also, this may seem silly, but I've done it and my sister has done it, but put a number 8 in your wallet. Glynis McCants recommends it, as 8 is a money number. The 8 in the wallet, affirmations, brainstorming and action have worked for us.

I won't say "good luck" because you already have the money. :)

Hi, personally I think the tax return counts as the universe gives us what we what but in ways you don't expect. Like you said its your ego telling you it doen't count.
I seem to be having the same thing with manifesting money and when It looks like I'm not getting what I want then that puts me out of allignment. What I didn't realise though is that when I ask it is given but with getting discounts off things. For example when I was buying my house I wanted a certain amount of money to decorate the house and it came by finding better deals with my legal fees and then my mortgage broker let me off the fee she charged because I had the cheek to ask! It comes but sometimes we don't realise:)

I think some things are a bit overstated in the secret and other books. Of course you need to take action. How much action? I think you have to be ready when the opportunity knocks on your door. Or when an idea crosses your mind. Instead of an affirmation I would suggest to ask yourself every morning and evening how can I make an extra 1000 per month? Questions have more power than affirmations.
