Yesterday was a busy one, and I got a lot of it done... Almost none of it had anything to do with the To-Do list I write and try to complete every week. It was frustrating, dealing with e-mails, washing clothes, preparing for networking events and so on, when what I wanted was to complete the important long-term goals, like upgrading my website. What I came to realize was that sometimes the IMPORTANT stuff - the long-term goals - had to be put on hold, so the URGENT stuff - things running on a deadline - didn't get lost. It's also an indicator that maybe I should look at reducing the amount of urgent stuff in future, so I can move forward on what's important more quickly.
