Thanks, Sunny. I know what you mean about having to change your beliefs about yourself before they will work. Have you ever read "Law of Attraction" by Michael Losier? He talks about how stating our affirmations in the present tense can have negative effects because we don't believe them. Instead, Losier says to use the affirmation "I'm in the process of manifesting___". That way, we'll always be telling the truth and our subconscious will accept it. By the way...I hadn't realized there was a Louise Hay blog here. I will check it out. Thanks a lot!

I love You Can Heal Your Life. I have done the affirmations. Not in the mirror though. I've stated them on the Louise Hay blog here. You should check it out....The problem with affirmations though, is that you really need to change your beliefs about yourself, or else you won't believe the affirmations. Changing your beliefs is a process--figuring out what the self defeating ones are, why they developed, and then writing a new story for yourself, including a new description of yourself. It can be a very powerful process.
