The 100 Day Reality Challenge

I just purchased my 3 day race ticket to the 60th running of the Formula 1 race at Monza Italy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! September 2010!!!!!!!!! It is my ultimate Christmas gift!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those who don't know - I am a huge Ferrari fan & Monza is their home track. F1 at Monza has been a dream for about 30 years - returning to Europe a dream for 20. I am finally realizing this - why? Because I deserve the abundance of the universe!!! I cannot think of a better way to kick off 2010 than this!

The seat is at the end of the parabolica turn. Although the turn has changed in profile and radius in the last 60 years, it remains THE iconic turn. The turn allows for tremendous speed (200mph +) while taking the turn's apex. I will be watching the cars exit the Parabolica as they quickly accelerate to top speed, running, the gauntlet between pit row and grandstands to my left.

They offer earplugs. Does anyone believe, that these ears - which have waited nearly 30 years to hear the thundering roar of these magnificent machines...will find anything remotely resembling an earplug anywhere near them? I have longed to hear them 'doppler' by. Faintly echoing across the circuit as the whine of the engines grows. Then, into the Parabolica with a few minibursts of unspent fuel rapidly backfiring, and finally the sudden whine of high RPMs to get a jump on the straight exiting the turn.

Well...that's how I imagine it...from studying the track...and watching the races...I have no idea what the reality will be...all I know is that it will be a wonderful trip to see the Ferrari run on their home track! Possibly a trip to Modena? The Ferrari museum and factory are there...that would just be so fantastic!

So there is my so so so exciting news....can everyone see my passion? I know I can!

Thanks for reading co-creators and Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

Thanks Chris, got a little chuckle from your comment....I guess it's apparent that I really really (really) enjoy the sport.

Thanks for your good vibes Maggie! I am so looking forward to Italia beyond the race. I have been self studying italian in preparation and am guessing I have a 1st grade understanding, with some adult phrases thrown in. One of my goals (I have to update them here) is to move to Italy. Napoli or more southern along the western coast. My goal for this trip is two weeks. 2 days travel, 3 days at the race leaving roughly 7 days to experience the country. As I said Modena is a place of interest (for factory tours, one must have some connection...or own a Ferrari...another of my goals!)...as of course is Rome...beyond that all I can think of is R+R along the southwest coast...perhaps that's what I'll do. Do you have any recommendations or tips on travel from your experience?
