Hey co-creators,
I decided to take myself to the beautiful Lake District National Park in northwest England, about 80 miles from where I live. After the busy-ness of work, it was something that I very much enjoyed doing, although the weather was a bit annoying at times - although I can hardly expect there not to be any rain in November! I love visiting different places and England is a very beautiful country, I think a lot of people who live in this country don't appreciate it enough.
The weather was very changeable and whilst on a boat cruise, there was a huge rainbow, the like of which I haven't seen in a long time. I was reminded that the rainbow could signify change. There's certainly no doubt that we are in a time of change. This year has been a bit crazy, life seems to have been pushing me more and more to let go of belief patterns that do not serve me, I've had to take small steps but I think I am starting to change inside, gradually. And I guess the one thing that needs to change the most is myself. I cannot rely on other people to make me happy or to validate me.
It's nice to have a weekend even though weekends seem too short at times. I am aware of how I feel I am living two separate lives - one at work, one outside of work. Even though I may be very spiritual outside of work and post lots of inspirational stuff on Facebook (one thing to give you brownie points lol) - I get easily stressed, impatient and a bit flustered at work. I know that working in a pressurised environment is not good for me. It's hard to bring my spiritual life to work at all, working in a very ego and money driven culture, which most of the conventional work environment is. I often feel drained after coming home from work. However, at the same time, I am not yet in a position to do what I love and earn money from it, and I certainly don't want to be unemployed again - and I guess it is good to be grateful for the job I have - having been out of work for 14 months, I should know to be grateful for it. But it can be hard at times.
But is it possible to integrate any of my spiritual values and also my goals and intentions for the challenge, into my day to day work life? I wonder ......

Radio + music - no, wouldn't be allowed - and unfortunately on most days we only get half an hour lunch, which I don't like having had a 1 hour break at the company I worked for down south for 9 years - I like the idea of the photos and quotes though. Do they let you listen to radio/music at work? I so would love that!
Yes, absolutly! Do you listen to a radio at work? Or any type of music? If so, you could tune in to Hayhouseradio.com or another spiritual based station. Also, do you go out of your office building during your lunch hour? If you have a field, park, water or anything that is natural near you, pop out and sit there, even if its just for ten minutes. I also have a visual board at work. I have lovely photos, pictures from old cards (ones with cute puppies etc) and my fav quotes all on a pinboard above my desk. You don't have to do this, but could do a screensaver of the same thing? My screensaver says 'Today is a great day!' :) xx
