The 100 Day Reality Challenge

Today I really began to notice a trend in our society, now this is a blanket statement and there is an exception to every rule-But within the last 4 months since becoming a father I have made many positive changes in my life, I stopped drinking, smoking cigarettes, and am eating organic raw veggies and fruits. The thing that is most interesting is how critical friends and family are about these changes-especially when it comes to be a vegetarian. They seem to be so concerned with not getting enough protein or whatever they can to pick apart and be skeptical of your healthy choices.

I noticed this during lunch while I was with co-workers at a burger/fry joint and I had brought my veggie drink for lunch, (kale, cucumber, ginger, lemon, celery, and apples) IT IS SO GOOD, and SO GOOD FOR YOU, I love it. :) So, while I'm trying to explain the benefits of the drink, they refuse to be completely supportive.

At the same time, these are people who drink and smoke to excess. Now we have mutual friends that abuse their physical bodies by eating fast food, being over-weight, drinking to the point of throwing up, and smoking cigarettes. Yet they don't take the opportunity to try and support him/her to make healthier choices in their life.

Now, I'm not here to judge what-so-ever, however you choose to live your life is up to you, that is the most beautiful part about choice. And when I was younger, I made poor decisions that lead me to The Path, and have no regrets about the choices I made.

I feel that my life is heading in a new beautiful direction, and I am open to whomever wants to join me for the adventure. I look forward to meeting the people I am attracting into my life. :)

Adding my congrats to Harsha!  Being a parent is pure has to imagine how THEIR parent felt long ago, when looking at us!!! lol

As for your friends...your example may be the light that enables them to try, some of the things you've felt necessary to do, in order to make your life a better.  To me, it's not about, trying to get them to see the why, just the benefits that bless me because of the choices made.  HOPEFULLY, your path, will allow them to see, much more of the light.

YES! Being a father is one of the greatest things to ever happen to me. He has become such a light in my life, and constantly makes me smile. I love how much I learn from him just in a few short months-I feel a lot more patient and responsible. It's exciting to know there is SO much more ahead.
