Discrimination Against the Unemployed

Today, I felt what I believe is a calling to try to alleviate some of the suffering of the unemployed. Specifically, companies are routinely refusing to consider unemployed applicants (isn't that CRAZY?)

Obama has placed a law against such practices in his job bill. I'm not sure a law is the best idea. Perhaps governments incenstives like tax breaks to the companies who hire the unemployed might be a better idea? Also an increase in the public awareness of this issue, exposing the companies who priactice such discrimination, and boycotting those companies might be a better idea?

As I practive the power of attraction, I am fully aware of the power of my thoughts and of my words. I know that whatever you fight against grows stronger.

Therefore, I am FOR the right of every unemployed American to be considered, without prejudice, for every job for which they apply.

Here's a link to one of the articles about this situation. Please let me know what you think. Also, if you have any ideas about how I can start a grass roots social/political movement, I would love to hear it!

Glad to be of help and thank you for the opportunity to practice this more myself!!

Thanks also for the friendship request too ...I am so *loving* all the people I am meeting who are doing this in their lives. I am definitely thriving in this environment, unlike any other before it :)

Thanks, Jilly. I will give this some thoughts. I,too, have had long periods of unemployment which is why I emphathize so much with those who are trying to find a job!

Awesome point, Lanie. I need to learn how to improve my wording so that I am calling forth the proper aspects that I want to see. Also, sorry about limiting this to Americans. I know unemployment is a worldwide concern, so I need to direct my thoughts to the benefit of the entire human race!

I am constantly on the look out for ways to practice positive focus - especially in wording. It is a challenge to redirect your mind out of a life long habit of old-school thinking. I think your second statement about what you want is better than the first so that's a good thing right there! I think it can still be better though. The two things that jump out at me as it currently is are, one is "every unemployed American" and the other is "without prejudice." Both of these statements are limiting and calls forth those very things you are hoping to be involved in eliminating. How about: I am FOR every American to be considered for every job application they make based their merit to do the job?

Also, since I'm not American and know this issue is world wide, I'd even take that out and just say "everyone". Any group or thing you do towards achieving this goal would be THAT much stronger if it can be seen as a global matter and will have opportunity to draw the positive attention of many, many more souls :)

You are welcome to open a group here on CCOR and see what kind of response you would get from the members here that are unemployed. Just a thought. I bet you can help advise direction and include in the group some direction from other internet sources that have a LAW of Attraction foundation.

You know the ole saying..."build a house on a firm foundation" thing.

Love and Light to you my friend, J

I am not seeking employment, however I would surely follow the group and its progress. I know many...(example: ash-tastic) who sought and found a new job. Read her latest blog here. Very inspiring.

Thanks for your advice, Jilly. You've made some good points. I agree with a lot of what you say. This is why I don't believe that a law against this would be advisable. However, I also believe that we should help people (or a group of people) whenever we can. Yes, directing them to this webiste so that they can learn that they create their own reality is a GREAT idea but...

Wait a minute. I was going to say that more needs to be done about this. But you just got me thinking. Why not start an organization for the organization that focuses on personal empowerment using the Law of Attraction. After all, when more and more people start believing that there is no  lack in the Universe and that they are responsible for their abundance (or lack thereof) there will be no unemployment. Right?

Thanks again, Jilly!

Well, here goes my opinion. It is of my experience that when you give something your attention you get more of it. Think about war...get more war. Think about prejudice...get more prejudice.

Make a law saying you can't do something...brings more of what you are not suppose to do.

What we need to remember here Christine is this:

Every single unemployed person manifests their reality and that includes being unemployed. Bring this awareness to the people is the solution in my opinion.

I also know that all that are in a desired and undesired position in their reality will come to know the reason why. All will awaken to this new consciousness. All will realize that they are creating their own reality.

Bottom line of my opinion is this:

Anti-war bring more war. I think Mother Theresa said something to this effect.

She said: I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there.

I think she was one of many that woke up early to all this thinking/manifesting business. One day we all realize what powerful creators we all are.

Re: Social/Political movement

Invite everyone you know to this site...invite them to read and see how the creative power within themselves can propel there lives to their desires.
