“What if” thinking is the best! “What if” is the thought that gives birth to every great creation and manifestation. This is the story of how anyone with enough faith in their “What if…” can change the world. This could be and probably is/will be you! THE COLLECTIVE HEART & GENIUS OF HUMANITY IS UNSTOPPABLE……everybody is needed!
How do I describe the beauty of pools filled with enormous Egyptian Yarrow plants….and where am I? One of the most delightful experiences I have ever had was walking into a glass building named, “The Living Machine” where I was transported from a soggy Pacific Northwest morning to the shores of the ancient Nile. I found myself surrounded by the smooth green hoods under the 8 foot tall umbrella like leaves of sweet scented Yarrow stalks. Their bulbous roots floated obviously in three pools spread throughout this oasis and the last pool sported some very large, very well fed goldfish! Where was I? I was in a natural waste water reclamation greenhouse on the grounds of IslandWood; the 255 acre earth stewardship, “School in the Woods” heart/brain child of Paul and Debbie Brainerd You know, the mega successful Paul Brainerd who’s dot-com created the first desk top publishing program, “PageMaker”. So, he’s creative, innovative and a total “What if….” thinker, but, this is where he won his spot as an Exceptionally Inspiring Person, after he made millions, he dedicated the rest of his life to philanthropy and the environment. So, I was standing in one room of a campus in the woods, dedicated to showing us how gorgeous and doable sustainable living is! Just check out what our smart, environmentally designed and yep, I’ll say it again, gorgeous solar/sustainable buildings/homes of the happening here and now future look like;! Paul and his wife Debbie made millions and gave back ten-fold to a future that is already serving us all! Now that’s what I’m talking about!!! That’s “Paying it Forward”! Oh, and the whole place STARTED WITH A “WHAT IF….” What if inner city kids who never get to spend time deep in the woods had a place to experience first-hand earth stewardship? Just take a look at what transformations some kids have experienced.
Just in case you were wondering, it’s not all about what mega-millions can do. Next time I’ll be talking about the tiniest spark…..that lit the world….it IS all you darlins’ is each of us...we are all needed!

Wonderful info'''love the idea of sustainability. Trends and fads are fun, but they pass. I think green is here to stay if we want to be here to stay!! ; > )
