The 100 Day Reality Challenge

We just planted our leeks and carrots today. Carrots went in via seeds and are in rotation. In two more weeks we will plant another segment.

I still have to put the poles in for my kentucy green beans....will put it off till I  see more growth.

BoK Choy is growing very well and it looks like we will be abundantly bless by this crop.

I cant wait to see the cabbage start to form and the lemon cucumbers make their appearance.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention that bush in the left corner is a red current. There is one on each side of the garden.

Enjoy, Love J

Hi again, just got in from the garden and I took a picture of the tiny green berries on my red currant bush. You can seed that that grow in clusters.

Oh my gosh that recipe looks fabulous. I can't wait now till my berries are ripe so I can make some.

Here is the site I found that had 48 red currant recipes.

Jilly what a beautiful job on your garden. I've never been able to master it so I finally gave up. I envy you with all those lovely vegetables!!!

No you were right the first time. The red current is the one with out the white flowers. Here is a picture of it with the berries. The berries are used for jam. Red currant Jam or Black current Jam is what you usually see on the shelf.

When the berries are red we pick them by the hand full and shove them in our mouth. I have two more over in another part of the garden. Yes they seem to love the cold weather. You cant see it in my picture, put the bush has teeny tiny green berries in clusters already.
