The 100 Day Reality Challenge


I just started a new blog at http://rawreality.vox.com/

I have had a good week so far, it's just been too busy to Vlog! I spent today working out which blog site I was going to join. Wordpress is WAY too complicated, Blogspot is too saturated, VOX is just right! Check out my blog there, or make one of your own. They have tons of cool themes for their pages, gotta like that. :)

I am having smoothies every day with fruit and greens, eating salads and lots of fruit snacks, but having one cooked meal a day. I can't give up my one cup of tea and 2 biscuits routine yet either (hold over from life in England). I also feel like I am having DETOX symptoms: headaches, stomach issues, energy ups and downs, hot and cold spells, and needing more sleep all of a sudden...

On the plus side, I am having a lot more energy in the mornings to do yoga and get things done. I feel like I am catching up on my life!!!

I know that this "diet" or life-changing-way-of-eating came along when I was ready for it. I don't think I could have done it before now. Things have all aligned for me to be open to it, for the time and ideas to be able to implement it, and the support of my husband is 100% here, too. When the student is ready the teacher will appear.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

I am motivated to keep going by all of the love and friendship I get here, every day it makes me realize I can do whatever I set my mind to. I am really starting to feel a change in my body and my mind, I feel calmer, even though I am having crazy detox stuff happening.

I find that I am too sensitive to do 100% Raw right away. I am reading a lot about this and it seems that we all need to make sure we are eating raw at the right level for us. I am about 50% now and plan to be 75% by the end of my challenge now. I will see how it goes!

Isnt' the raw muesli great??? I use soaked almonds, coconut (raw, unsweeteened), pear, chopped dates, and today dried cranberreis. I top it off with almond milk. I buy pre-made almond milk, which isn't raw, I know, but it is much better for me than cow's milk!

I've read a little about how we should eat raw in social situations, and I think that in the beginning it may be too stressful to say NO to everything when we eat with others. I think I will choose things like cooked veg, non-fried foods, no red meats, no dairy. That way I will have less digestive stresses, even when I am not eating raw. It's all about energy after all!!

Hi Clarissa! I started eating raw last monday and I already feel sooooo much better! No detox symptoms at all, I think that is because I did the Master Cleanse not to long ago. The raw muesli in the morning is the most delicious breakfast I've ever had! I eat muesli every other morning and inbetween I have green smoothies for breakfast.Lunch is mostly a salad or a leftover from the raw dinner from the day before. Tonight my co-creating friend M is comming over for dinner and therefore dinner will not be raw (only dessert is raw apple pie!!) I'm struggling with the social part of this raw lifestyle. I'm visiting with my mother on saturday for a family gathering because of het birthday. There will be unhealthy, but delicious snacking and eating throughout the entire day. I wonder how other raw co-creators go about a situation like that? Well, since it is not my intention to eat 100% raw (if I'm on my own I will, but I give myself a little leeway in social events) I won't make a big deal of it, try and stick to the less unhealthy choices available.

Well done! You are flowing so well! I'm starting the same sort of thing, but still have 1 cooked meal a day - I love my warm soup & still love rice ;) I totally get what you say about the detox symptoms. When I started eating way more naturally & healthily a couple of weeks ago, that is exactly how I felt. It took about a week -or- so, but I am feeling SO much better now! Thanks for the kink too!

Excellent idea, Clarissa!! Look forward to follow your blog Did you know you inspire many of us?? Mari (Freesialove), Emha and me are starting with raw food as well!! Like you said, it's the right time now, (taking it step by step though:-)
