Peaceful sad ending
I had a black lab that was the best dog anyone could have ever asked for. She was well behaved loving and a light of inspiration every day I came home. She saved my life as I was going though a tough time as my parents were going through their end of life experience and my dog Cheyenne never faltered in her love and devotion to me and my daughter during that time. She had been sick the past four days and I took her to the vet yesterday and she said she had diabetes suddenly overtake her Cheyenne was miserable. They moved her to a emergency animal hospital so my daughter and I could go see her one last time. We went over there and hung out with her for an hour and said our goodbyes i felt like she knew what was going on. I know she was put in my life as an anchor during this rough patch and I'm crying allot to get the emotional relief i need. Thank you God for the loving memories of a boy and his dog

I so very sorry, Glenn. I have a Welsh Corgi who is an indescribably important companion to me, and I know when her time comes I will feel similarly. Cheyenne was so lucky to have you as her "person." I am a parent of four sons so I'm not one of these "the dog is my baby" people, and I know that losing a human loved one is much worse because I've experienced that devastation when I lost my brother, but having said that, there IS a very real and unconditional love between animals and people, and I really feel your loss. As I said, I just keep thinking that Cheyenne was a very lucky dog to have someone so open to loving her this much in her life. Peace to you.
