The 100 Day Reality Challenge

I'm so pumped! Just got back from a great interview, it just went really well and I got really excited about the project. No matter whether I get the job or not, I'm feeling great because I gave it my all and there's nothing I would rewind or change. It felt more like having a good productive conversation than an interview, and if you remember that after my last interview I was concerned about how short it was... well, this one lasted for nearly an hour, although it didn't feel like it.

It actually came really unexpectedly, in a sense. The company is a start-up, and the lady who runs it rang me up on Sunday evening. I did, however, expect to be invited for an interview for this particular role - I knew that they'd invite me as soon as I applied. I've had those strong feelings about job applications before, and I always do get invited for an interview when I have that feeling. So it wasn't such a surprise to me, I was just a bit shocked by how quickly it happened, as the deadline for applying was Friday.

Anyway, the lady is determined to find the right person, which I like - she actually told me this is the third time she's trying to fill the particular position, that she's already had two sets of interviews and hired nobody. So it's posible that noone gets hired. I know that this should technically be daunting for me, but I really like that for some reason. I guess I like her drive, that the project is her baby and that she's so devoted to finding the perfect fit.

I have another interview tomorrow, and I hope it will be just as exciting.

Thanks Julia!  It's not easy to find a job after graduation, but I know it will happen soon, and I'm sure we'll both be just fine. It just takes a lot of persistence, enthusiasm, and faith.

That sound great Raizel, all the best for the 2nd interview today. I will be where you are in a month, trying to find a job :)

Let us know how it went.

Thank you both!

Yae: I used to want to fake a connection with the interviewer, or find them intimidating, but the truth is, we're looking for the same thing - the right fit. It was great realisation when it dawned on me that the interviewer is not an enemy :)

Christina: I think you!re right, I feel really good about my future, and I am loving the present - so many opportunities!

Great attitude and view! So happy that it went well and that you are willing to accept whatever is in store. Great things are around the corner for you! :)
