The 100 Day Reality Challenge

[S2] Day 10: Not the best day of the challenge.

Today was not one of my finest days. Currently my goal is to lose weight & become more fit. The actual number on the scale doesn't matter that much. I just want to feel amazing & healthy. Now I have been working out a little bit each day on top of going to dance practice twice a week.

As of Monday night I found out I got awarded a solo for our upcoming show in 2 & half weeks. I'm excited. But today I woke up with a low self esteem in regards to my current shape & instead of using this to fuel my determination, I ate a lot of crap. Pure Junk food.

So I'm hoping some of you know of some great ways to get me (and I'm sure others too) a way to re-motivate us?!

Hi, Natalie - first of all, congrats on getting your solo awarded! Wow, that is really cool! Please do not beat yourself up for making a mistake. It seems like there are so many wonderful and talented things about you, that I would suggest one exercise to improve your self-esteem. List your accomplishments (include the solo!). Then make a list of all the fears, and doubts you already have overcome. When you feel bad about yourself next time, re-read that list. Show yourself how far you have already come. And remember an occasional slip-up is not the end of the world, just tell yourself, okay, I messed up, I promise myself, I will do better today. Take it one day at a time. You will do fine.
