I must confess, I was feeling lazy today. I got up at around 8:00am and then had to get ready to go to the library to do some research for my English class. I actually took 4 HOURS to do one simple paper, but most of that time I spent reading and browsing through books. It's been a LONG TIME since I had the pleasure of mindlessly walking through the library, picking up a book that catches my eye and then lazily read through it. I saw a book that really vibrated well with me today. The book was titled "Jefferson's Children: The Story of One American Family." It was an amazing read about Thomas Jefferson (3rd president of the United States, etc), his wife Martha, and Martha's half-sister Sally Hemings, who was also his mistress and bore him many children. The book chronicled a descendant's journey to get to know the "Martha" side of the family, some who staunchly deny that Thomas Jefferson was the father of Sally Hemings offspring; therefore, her descendants are not blood relations. I saw the book in the Young Adult section of the library and spent at least an hour, if not more, reading it :)
By the way, I did do my assignment for my English class. All I need to do is to type it up and staple it with the attachments, then DONE :)
I can't think of anything more to write, so I will close now. Have a good evening and I'll try to write earlier tomorrow...
