The 100 Day Reality Challenge

The last few days I've been working hard on getting through all the course content to become a Product Launch Manager (Jeff Walker's course). This morning I was up at 4.30 because that was pretty much the only time I could squeeze it in. I'm feeling the sleep deprivation but there's no way I'm letting go of my dreams.

Meanwhile, though, I'm getting those butterflies back in my stomach. I know I want to be free of my current job by the new year (despite the fact that if I hang on til April I get long service leave) but it's a real step to think of quitting. After all, conventional wisdom says I should be happy with such a well-paying job. I am grateful for it, and particularly grateful for the people I work with, but that doesn't stop me not wanting to have those graveyard shifts where the alarm goes off at 3am anymore, let alone reclaiming the 90m + travel each way that eats so much into my life. Plus it's very clear where the current restructure plans are heading and that's going to be job cuts.

But that voice keeps asking, how can I ever expect to help teach others to realise their dreams if I don't have the courage to let go of the safety line and chase my own?

I did take one 'butterfly' action yesterday, despite the nerves at the thought. I sent an email off to one of those current affair type shows that are always featuring diets, asking them to sponsor me by buying the blender in return for getting the story of my before and after on the raw diet. After all, I have done 30 days 100% raw, and blogged about it, so they know I'm familiar with what I'm getting into. If they say yes I'll let you all know here, naturally. Plus of course working on the PLM course I mentioned above - a good job for my first client would easily get me enough, but so far my clients are booked in for the new year, not before Christmas. So far, anyway.

I know I've put it out there, though, that I want it. I had a synchronistic moment where I discovered a competition and a '30 day trial' option for the Vitamix, but unfortunately it was limited to US residents only. At least now I've started taking action on those little impulse thoughts, it's just a matter of time. Roll on, reality!

Better get going to finish getting ready for work now. Catch you guys later...
