Things to do in Florida

So…we just recently relocated from Philadelphia, PA to sunny Florida. Against the wishes of our closest friends and family members, we decided to go for it. After all, that’s what you do when you are young, childless and carefree, right? So many people questioned our decision. We were bombarded with questions like, “What are you running from? Can’t you just run your businesses here? What are you going to do when things don’t work out down there?” Can’t you just feel the love???? Nowhere in their obvious concern for our wants, needs and wishes was there any regard for need to just be in a different environment.

So, here we are in the sunshine state. Now what??? I’ll tell you what. We are enjoying every minute of it. If things don’t work out here, so what! There is no if! Things ARE working out here because we are making it to be so. It struck us very early on in our relationship that we are both wired just a little differently from our friends and family members. So when they fail to understand us, we do what all couples should do under those circumstances, which is come together and do what is best for us. We enjoy working together. We spend as much time as possible on the beach of Anna Maria Island. We’ve only been here for about two months and we’ve already claimed our favorite restaurants: City Pier Restaurant and the AMAZING Pier 22. There’s so much more we intend to do here. Life is grand and we are loving every minute of it.

When people move up or move on, just remember that they may not be running away. Maybe they are running toward the direction of their dreams.
