I can relate to your dog walking intent. I have the same issue, but decided to align Baxter with me in that we both need to be healthy. When I go to work, there are several beaches along the way. So rather than saying Oh I'll take him for a walk when I'm done - which rarely ever happens because either I am so tired or it's too dark - now I am going to the beach Before I go to work. Like you I don't care much for walking on my own, so I make it a creative adventure - looking for beach glass or heart rocks - which I collect. I always have my digital camera with me, so some days it's just a photo day .. and with the rainy season being upon us here, I make sure I've got my gumboots and raingear in the car. I'm far from perfect in making it a routine, but I will get there! and Baxter is so much happier and healthier. Thank you for sharing this, and helping to motivate me more. I wish you much success with your goals :) ..oxox
I'm sorry I called you christine in my earlier comment. Why didn't you correct me?? Btw Cynthia why are you hiding behind your book??? Though this is your pic in all your *beauty and glory*.......from what I can see I'll say you've got beautiful eyes....and I'm not kidding! :) Have you added your name on the site.If yes let me know as I'd like to add you to my friends list there.
Aahhhh.... still nothing in your about me section.Let me know when you fill in the details.Would love to know more about you. I'm glad you liked the website .I knew that being a booklover you'll love it.I think it's great that from now on we can keep a record of every book we read and feel proud of ourselves..hhehheheheh:)
Even I love to learn languages so I can understand your excitement about learning one.
Keep Smiling and shining
Hi Dream Catcher!!
Hmmm...from where should I start?? I have so many good things to say!! ....but all the compliments I give you are absolutely genuine!!
First of all thanks for the nice comment on my page. I'm glad you liked it.
But you know what.... I loved your page too....lol!! Smileys are my weakness....infact I make a smiley next to my name every time I leave a comment for someone:) .Seeing so many smileys is made me smile!!!
BTw I'd love to know your name and what you're studying. I could relate to so many of your goals.I 'm sure you'd have noticed that when you visited my profile. I loved the pics of books you've put up.....I find the very sight of books tempting....lol!!
So which book are you going to start with.I love talking about books....though don't assume that I've read a whole lot of them....but I try to .
If you want to keep a track of the books you've read or are reading or want to read you can always go to the website goodreads.com. I've created my account there two days back .You can see it if you want though Ihaven't created my profile and it'll show just one book that i've read recently as I want to keep track of what I've read from November 08 onwards.
Hey it's Tai chi...and starting with yoga is an excellent goal.I don't know much about Tai chi though i've heard nothing but good things about it.
You have set excellent goals for yourself.......as soon as I'm done with my exams I'm also planning to start reading books on healthy eating.Knowledge always pays!!
BTW your goal about the Yugoslavian language is cute!! Are you fond of learning languages??
As far as staying motivated is concerned Try putting up what you'll do the next day ie add a blog here mentioning what you plan to do tomorrow. That should prevent you from wasting time thinking what to do.Also it will give you a push as your goals would be out in the open for all to see how you're doing. Also try settin aside some incentive for yourself at the end of each day.
And above all even if you don't manage to cross out all the things on your list don't condemn yourself.......rather encourage yourself to keep moving and not get discouraged by a few disappointments. The most imp thing is to try and our heart knows when we are really trying.
Keep smiling.....like this pretty page of yours..lol!
