Today, my daughter and I had a ((HUG)) from AMMA! I was truly very special day! I have to thank you very much, because about a month ago, you posted on Facebook a video about AMMA. I was curious and I found out that she was coming to Chicago on June 28 & 29. So there we were my daughter and I in the arms of AMMA! Amazing moment for us! Thank you Poetry Girl! Lots of blessings and peace to you!!! : )
How are you doing? Oh, I got your message, thanks and sorry I didn`t reply you yet, but I will. I am preparing my long email for you. Started it on Saturday, just when I have time I write a little to have a nice email ready to send you. Try to do it this evening.
Hi Poetry Girl, (Part 1) Thanks for your kind compliment on my profile pic! I just looked at all your photos. You and your son look so happy and you are both very photogenic! I love the photos of him with the chick---how cute! If you don't mind me asking, I'm not sure if you explained this somewhere in your blog, but I saw that you have a cochlear implant? Was that a successful surgery? I have bi-lateral cochlear hair damage but completely intact hearing. The two results are a contradiction. The lady who discovered the anomaly said she'd never seen anything like it. When my test results were sent to a specialist, he said that he had only seen my condition in only one other patient out of the approx. 35,000 patients he had seen in his career. The thing that is so strange is that no one can tell me how this happened and in addition to that, I also have no working vestibular system, (both ears as well). The cochlear and vestibular issues are not related but completely different issues. I am left with a condition called oscillopsia which most doctors haven't even heard of. It's a fancy word for "no gaze stabilization." When I walk or attempt to run, everything around me in the world bounces and jumps. It has taken me awhile to adapt, (and some days it seems to be worse or I notice it more), but it is amazing how the body can heal. I use my eyes and proprioception to get around now. This is pretty taxing on my frontal lobe which is very busy sending messages to my brain where I am in space every second of the day! Anyway, I didn't write to complain. It is my intention to heal myself completely. Every doctor tells me it's impossible, and I'm sure it looks that way, but I'm holding on to the image that feel best!
Well, anyway, it is very nice to make your acquaintance! Have a wonderful evening, Elise
wow! I just happened to come across your post "Can I hear what I hear"....n went over to read your profile. We need ppl like you all over to inspire us, make us believe dreams come true and never give up!
Yes, yes. I really look forward to that! And to re-visit my favorite "grotto" restaurant "Zum gilden (something) (My German is very sketchy!). Being a classical music aficionado, I would love to visit the Mozarteum (I write about classical performance). Of course, I saw Mozart's birthplace (the yellow one), and the pink house where he taught, and the ballroom near the palace where he performed at the age of 4 - and of course, took the "Sound of Music Tour" and LOVED the villages in the area. It's all magical! Savor ALL of it for me ! ~
Hey there - we still have stacks of snow around here from the blizzard, but it is supposedly warming up - haha. Believe it when we see it.
My Day 100, Season 9 is TOMORROW, so I plan to start Season 10 (!) on Monday - Valentine's day - with some emphasis on love.
Just finished two articles.
Happy Weekend there ~ Hope you go to an amazing writer-type cafe, and have a great cup of Salzburg coffee + pretend we are having a great conversation about writing. (I love those streets and restaurants! and that great mountain that rises up in the background!)
